Gerber PCB Fabrication

Customers can provide Gerber files for PCB fabrication and assembly. The manufacturing service accepts Gerber 274X and ODB++ production data.

This allows OEM customers to use their existing PCB design while outsourcing board fabrication, component procurement and assembly to one manufacturing supplier.

Small Batch SMT Assembly

Small batch production is available for water heater control board development and OEM validation.

The service starts from 10 pieces for prototype and validation orders, while small-batch production can start from 100 pieces. Production quantities can then be scaled according to the customer's requirements.

SMT and DIP Assembly

The water heater PCBA uses a combination of SMT and DIP assembly where required by the circuit design.

Surface-mount components can be used for the MCU, sensors and control electronics, while through-hole assembly is suitable for relays, connectors and selected high-voltage components.

Wave soldering and conformal coating are also available according to the product requirements.

Water Heater Control and Power Switching

The control board can use a Triac or relay output for heater switching, with output current up to 16A according to the specified configuration.

The control system can be based on an 8-bit, 16-bit or 32-bit MCU with custom firmware. This allows the control logic to be adapted to different water heater operating modes and system requirements.

Temperature and Safety Control

Temperature sensing can use NTC thermistors together with other system sensors such as flow switches and flame sensors.

Safety functions can include over-temperature protection, anti-dry-burn protection and leakage detection. These functions are important for water heating equipment where the control board needs to monitor operating conditions and respond to abnormal situations.

Component Sourcing

Full BOM sourcing is available for OEM projects. Components such as ICs, relays, Triacs and connectors can be sourced according to the approved BOM.

When components have long lead times or supply issues, alternative parts can be proposed for customer approval before production.

Testing and Quality Control

The manufacturing process includes PCB inspection and electrical testing before delivery.

AOI and ICT can be used during production, followed by functional testing with heater load simulation. High-voltage insulation testing is available for mains-connected control boards.

These tests help verify assembly quality, electrical performance and the main control functions of the finished PCBA.
