Product Details

The Toroidal Power Isolation Transformer is designed for AC power conversion and electrical isolation where a compact ring-core transformer structure is preferred. Its toroidal construction provides an efficient magnetic circuit and makes it suitable for a wide range of low-frequency power applications.

Unlike high-frequency switching transformers, a toroidal isolation transformer is generally used with conventional AC power systems and linear power supply architectures. It can provide electrical isolation between the input and output sides while also adapting the AC voltage to the requirements of the connected equipment.

The toroidal winding structure helps maintain a compact physical profile while supporting efficient power transfer. Depending on the required configuration, the transformer can be designed with different input and output voltages, rated power levels, winding arrangements and mechanical dimensions. This makes it suitable for OEM and ODM projects where the transformer needs to match a specific power supply or equipment enclosure.

Toroidal isolation transformers are commonly used in audio equipment and power amplifiers where transformer construction and power delivery are important parts of the overall power supply design. They can also be integrated into industrial control equipment, electrical instruments, lighting systems and other AC-powered equipment requiring isolated power.

For customized projects, important design considerations include input voltage, output voltage, rated VA or power, frequency, winding configuration, insulation requirements and installation dimensions. These parameters allow the transformer to be matched to the electrical and mechanical requirements of the finished product.

The toroidal form factor is particularly useful when equipment designers need a transformer that combines a compact structure with application-specific electrical characteristics. Depending on the design, mounting hardware and lead configuration can also be adapted to the installation requirements.

This type of power isolation transformer is therefore suitable for custom electronic equipment, industrial power systems, audio products and other AC applications where reliable voltage conversion and electrical isolation are required.
