Product Details

Portable Ka-Band Satellite Terminal

The NanoSat-450A is a portable Ka-band satellite terminal designed for situations where reliable terrestrial network connectivity is unavailable, damaged or insufficient. It combines satellite communication, 5G network aggregation and built-in 4G/5G network coverage in a compact system designed for rapid field deployment.

With a lightweight design, automatic satellite acquisition and integrated battery power, the terminal can be carried and operated by one person. It is suitable for emergency communications, disaster response, live video transmission, field command, remote infrastructure and temporary network coverage.

Portable Design for Field Deployment

The NanoSat-450A is designed as a complete portable communication system rather than a standalone satellite antenna.

The antenna and battery weigh less than 10 kg, while the complete system weighs less than 13 kg. The integrated design reduces the amount of equipment that needs to be transported and connected at the deployment site.

An aviation case and backpack-style soft bag are available for transportation, making the terminal suitable for mobile teams working across different locations.

Automatic Satellite Acquisition

Fast deployment is important when communication needs to be restored at an emergency site.

The NanoSat-450A uses a one-button Q-touch operation for automatic satellite acquisition. The specified automatic acquisition time is no more than two minutes.

A nonprofessional user can start the communication system in approximately three minutes under normal operating conditions, reducing the need for complicated manual antenna positioning and configuration.

Satellite and 5G Network Aggregation

The NanoSat-450A supports the aggregation of one satellite link with two 5G links.

The combined uplink and downlink bandwidth can reach up to 300 Mbps, depending on available network conditions and service configuration.

Using both satellite and terrestrial mobile networks provides additional connectivity options for field operations. When 5G coverage is available, the mobile links can be combined with the satellite connection. When terrestrial coverage is unavailable, satellite communication can provide the main network connection.

Built-in 4G/5G Base Station

The NanoSat-450A integrates a 4G/5G base station for local mobile network coverage.

Depending on the configuration and network service, the system can provide local mobile network access for users and equipment at the deployment site.

This can be useful in areas where existing mobile infrastructure is damaged, unavailable or unable to provide sufficient coverage.

The combination of satellite backhaul and local mobile network access allows the NanoSat-450A to support multiple users and connected devices rather than a single terminal.

Integrated Communication System

The NanoSat-450A integrates several communication functions into one portable platform.

The system includes a satellite modem, router, network aggregation gateway, 4G/5G base station board, battery and BeiDou positioning.

This integrated architecture reduces the number of separate devices required during deployment and simplifies field operation.

Built-in 150Wh Battery

The terminal includes a 150Wh battery with a specified runtime of at least three hours.

It can also operate from a 100–240V AC adapter when external power is available.

The combination of battery and AC power allows the system to be used both in remote areas and at temporary field operation sites where mains power can be provided.

Network Interfaces and Protocol Support

The NanoSat-450A provides Gigabit Ethernet as well as 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz Wi-Fi connectivity.

It supports a range of network and streaming protocols, including UDP, TCP, SRT, RTMP, RTSP, RTP, HTTP, HTTPS and FTP.

These interfaces and protocols make the terminal suitable for internet access, remote data transmission, live video and other communication tasks.

Outdoor Communication Equipment

The terminal is designed for outdoor deployment with an IP66 protection rating.

Its specified operating temperature range is -25°C to +55°C.

This makes the system suitable for temporary communication sites, emergency response locations and remote industrial operations where communication equipment may need to operate outside conventional indoor environments.

Applications

Emergency and Disaster Communications

Natural disasters and other emergencies can interrupt cellular, fiber and other terrestrial communication infrastructure.

The NanoSat-450A can be transported to the affected location and used to establish communication without relying entirely on the local terrestrial network.

News Gathering and Live Video

News organizations and field production teams may need to transmit video from locations where fixed broadband connectivity is unavailable.

The NanoSat-450A supports streaming protocols and high-speed network connectivity for portable live video applications.

Police, Fire and Field Command

Emergency command teams can use portable satellite communication equipment to maintain connectivity at temporary operation sites.

The built-in 4G/5G network function can also provide local connectivity for mobile users and field equipment.

Telecom Emergency Support

Telecommunications operators can deploy the NanoSat-450A when temporary connectivity is required or when part of an existing network has been disrupted.

Its satellite and 5G aggregation capabilities provide multiple communication paths for field operations.

Remote Industrial Operations

Oil and gas, power, water, forestry and other industries often operate in locations where terrestrial network coverage may be limited.

A portable satellite terminal can provide communication connectivity for field teams, monitoring equipment and temporary work sites.

Temporary 4G/5G Coverage

The integrated base station can be used for temporary mobile coverage in selected emergency and remote communication scenarios.

This can be useful when conventional mobile infrastructure cannot provide adequate coverage at the required location.

Portable Satellite Communication for Rapid Deployment

The main purpose of a portable satellite terminal is to provide connectivity without waiting for fixed communication infrastructure to be restored or installed.

The NanoSat-450A combines satellite communication with 5G aggregation and local 4G/5G coverage, providing a flexible communication platform for different field conditions.

For emergency response teams, telecom operators, news organizations and remote industrial users, the system can be transported to the required location and deployed when conventional communication infrastructure is limited.

Combined Satellite and 5G Communication

The NanoSat-450A brings satellite communication, 5G aggregation, local 4G/5G coverage, network routing, battery power and positioning into one portable system.

Its lightweight design and automatic satellite acquisition are intended to simplify field deployment, while the combination of satellite and terrestrial networks provides additional connectivity options.

For emergency communications, disaster response, live video, remote operations and temporary network deployment, the NanoSat-450A provides a portable approach to establishing communications where conventional network infrastructure is unavailable or unreliable.
